Frequently Asked Questions
What does your company mean by "SATISFACTION GUARANTEED"?
We promise that you will get service you are happy with or you don't have to pay for it! We know our business depends on doing excellent work, and it's the quality of our service on which we stake our success. We're working very hard to make our name mean reliable, high-quality service. We strive to provide perfect service, but if there is ever a time when our service is not completely satisfactory, please let us know right away. We will make it right, either by coming back to re-clean the yard the same day or the next day, or by crediting your account so you won't be charged.
What areas do you service?
We currently provide our professional pooper scooper services to all areas of Kamloops. We will happily travel to areas surrounding Kamloops, for an additional travel fee.
Where do you clean?
Front and back yards, dog runs, gardens, concrete areas, wood decks and landscaped areas. Special consideration is taken in areas where children may play, and we scoop in areas where there is bark, river rock and pea gravel. We do not hose down areas where dogs have ‘messed’ unless requested in the initial visit or by phone call.
Where does the poo go?
All dog waste removed from your property is disposed of at the local landfill.
Can dog waste be tossed out with household garbage?
This is something that I'm asked all the time, and the answer is not simply "yes" or "no". Based on my conversations with the City of Kamloops, this is what I understand to be true. It is not against the bylaw to put pet waste in with your household garbage - as long as it is a small amount, double bagged, and not offensive. This is not something that the city encourages, as it can easily become offensive and require down time if pet waste somehow ends up on the truck, equipment or the operator. If you are unsure what to do with your pet waste, please contact the City of Kamloops directly. As for K9 Poo Crew, we will dispose of all pet waste collected at the landfill.
Are there any contracts I have to sign?
No. We can start and stop your service over the phone. We do not require contracts, there is no minimum service period, and there is no advance notice required to cancel service.
Can I hire you for a one time clean only?
Yes. We understand the pet waste situation in your yard can quickly get out of hand. We're happy to step in, no matter how mucky it is! Please contact us for a free estimate.
Is there an extra charge for the first visit?
The price of the first visit depends on how quickly we are able to clear the yard of dog droppings. If you’ve kept up on scooping the poop, the first visit may end up costing the same as regular scheduled visits, but again, this is dependent on the current waste load in your yard.
Do you work through the winter?
Yes. Dogs keep making their messes all year long, and our company continues to clean up and remove dog waste through winter. Some customers prefer to put service on hold for the cold months, although there may be an extra service charge for the first cleanup the following spring.
What can I do to ensure all the poops in my yard are found?
Clear your yard of excessive leaves, tall grass and weeds, scattered debris, large puddles of water and muddy areas. These items make it difficult to scoop all poops, as we will not be moving these items to look underneath.
Can I leave my dog in the yard?
In our initial visit, we will meet your pets. If your pets are normally in the yard during the time we are scheduled to visit, and your dogs are friendly, then yes, they can be left in the yard. We will be sure to double and triple check gates are closed properly. If your dog is aggressive or unpredictable, we ask it not be left in the yard while we are scooping.
What is your customer referral program?
Are you a regular customer? If you refer a new customer to us who signs up for regularly scheduled maintenance, you will get ONE MONTH OF SERVICE FOR FREE!
(This does not apply to one-time cleans)
How do I pay?
For initial cleanings and one-time cleans, payment is due in full on the date of service. On-going service clients are invoiced at the end of each month, and payment is due upon receipt. We accept cash, money order, cheque, PayPal and credit cards. Click here to pay your invoice online now.
Are you insured?
Yes. K9 Poo Crew is a fully insured pooper scooper company.
